Coffee Makers
VERBAIR air compressors also play a critical role in commercial and industrial coffee makers.
In espresso machines, air compressors are often used to generate the high pressure required to extract flavor and aroma from coffee grounds. The compressed air is used to force hot water through the compacted coffee grounds at high pressure, resulting in the production of espresso. This process, known as ‘espresso extraction’, requires precise pressure control, which can be achieved by VERBAIR air compressors.
Some commercial coffee makers use pneumatic systems, where air compressors power pneumatic actuators or pistons to control various functions of the machine, such as adjusting the grind size, controlling the flow of water, or managing the steam wand for frothing milk. Pneumatic systems provide precise control over the brewing process and allow for automation of certain tasks in the coffee-making process.
